Ég hef oft verið beðinn um að smakka vín sem hefur “slegið í gegn” erlendis og satt að segja hef ég oftar en ekki komist að því að það vín er jú ágætt en kannski ekki alveg fyrir minn smekk. Vín mánaðarins í Febrúar er ekki eitt af þeim! Colomé Malbec Reserve frá Salta í Argentínu er án efa vel unnið vín með svörtum kirsuberjum og dökku súkkulaði í nefinu. Þetta er bragðmikið vín með Valrhona súkkulaði, svörtum kirsuberjum, papriku og alkóhól í lokin. Eftirbragðið er silkimjúkt og langt. Verðið er meira en ásættanlegt eða aðeins 2.990 kr., þess má geta að Vífilfell flytur þetta vín inn.

I have often been asked to taste wines that have “scored high” and become a “hit” in other countries. And truth be told have found most of these wines at the very best, not what I want to drink! The wine of the month is not one of those! Colomé Malbec Reserve from Salta Argentina is definitely a well made wine with black cherries and dark chocolate in the nose. It’s a strong tasting wine, with Valrhona chocolate, black cherries, bell peppers and a touch of alcohol in the end. The aftertaste is smooth and long. The price makes the wine even more appealing, 2990 kr. is not that much for such a well done wine! The importer is Vífilfell.
